Friendships across the globe, marriages, children, heartbreaks, sickness, laughter, adventures, and a promise to toast each other on the eve of my 90th Birthday. Two country girls with vivid imaginations, ambition and the drive to achieve anything thought possible. Penny and Deb' childhood enjoyed the pure and majestic enviroment of rural Australia. It is here that they learnt to be resourceful, respectful, and to encourage, love, and support others that need it most. We've made our first million but more importantly restored and nurtured a friendship that's worth one in a million!
Deb lives an entrepreneurs life in L.A, and when she's not working in a leadership and mentoring capacity to help others succeed, she is facilitating connectivity with art outlets in America.

Chiltern was a gold mining town in the 1850s and has been perfectly preserved. The streetscape of wide verandahs and historic buildings tell the stories of European settlers and gold miners. Stretch your legs, take a look and grab the Cocky, Euphoric Emu, Kookaburra or the Gang Leader home!

CULTURAL IMMERSION TOUR '24

Gain a new perspective and travel with a small group of alike-minded friends (partners welcome), for a ten day/ten night Japanese Cultural experience. There are no art tutors on this tour. Instead, you can share your passion for travel, art, culture and Japanese cuisine with people "who get it". This tour is for those who have "been there, done that" (most likley over 45s); yet yearn for something new and inspiring; to rejuveniate and restore one's health, heart and mind. Japan is not a place to visit! Japan is a place to truly experience and immerse yourself!
The Cultural Immersion Tour program has been developed by Penny Chan who has been affiliated with Japan for more than 40 years. The Art Exchange is not a generic tourist tour!
Four exclusive tours are conducted during the months of March/April and October/November (2024). Offering unique itineraries and acommodation styles to cater for diverse travelling needs:
1. Traditional Immersion - Includes a minimum of one night at a tradtional Japanese Inn : sleeping on Tatami floors, wearing Yukata (light weight robe) and enjoying a Kaiseki (small portion(s) dinner with artful presentaton).
2. Deluxe Accomodation at some of Japanese finest hotels
(Twin Share, Single supplement available*) . Always Min 3.5 stars to 5 stars.
Each tour type and experience is unique, and equally enjoyable for differing reasons and seasons! Cherry Blossoms in March/April and Autumn Splendour in October/November.
You will be asked to leave everything you know behind you. So be prepared to inhale and immerse yourself in all things Japanese. It's a challenge but so worth it! Very quickly you will feel transported to a completely new world. You will begin to feel what you see, and Japan will offer you something new everyday! Bring your camera, pastels, sketch book and paints if you so desire! Everywhere you look there will be something beautiful to capture. Some free time is offered in some of the most amazing settings to allow you to be creative, go shopping, sleep, or whatever it is you want to do. Listen to your body and just be present. You don't have to be an artist to experience this tour. All you need to bring is an open mind and willingness to try new cultural experiences!
